Great shop on the C&O Canal trail in Cumberland, MD. They had everything my group was looking for and more. So if you are floating by and need something for your bike stop in. The staff was great and helped out with all of our needs.

We rode in from DC yesterday after completing the C&O trail and met my wife at the 184.5 mile marker for pictures. She drove to Cumberland and walked into Wheelzup to ask for directions to the marker.

The guy at Wheelzup was rude to my wife and told her multiple times she was at the end of the trail and he had never heard of a 184.5 mile marker eventhough the marker is directly across the narrow canal and is easily visible from the store.

Even if this guy didn't know about the trail end marker (which is hard to believe) he didn't need to be condescending to my wife.

We ended the ride on a Wednesday afternoon so he can't use the excuse of being busy with customers and not having time for my wife.

We came in ragged from a 3-day bike trip on the GAP - the sole had fallen of my clip-on bike shoe and both my original tube and my spare tube had irreparable holes. I'd borrowed a tube from a friend that was too large, and that was failing, too. Another friend lost the bite valve on his Camelbak. And the last member of group wanted a commemorative T-shirt. Wheelzup had it all, and at reasonable prices. The store even took the cleats off my old shoes and put it on the new ones to save me a few bucks. We left repaired, re-outfitted and ready for another week - they were fantastic!

Stopped into this shop after blowing the sidewall out on my rear tire 5 miles outside of town. I was worried I would have to spend the night in cumberland since it was a Sunday. This shop was open and had a nice selection of tires for my bike. They had air available as well for my repair which I did on the sidewalk out front. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Great location, nice store, super friendly and helpful staff. We rented 3 well maintained and perfectly tuned bikes for our ride to Pittsburg on the GAP. Since we are three riders with very different skills, we rented a gravel, a hybrid, and an ebike. All worked perfectly for us and made for a very enjoyable experience. My wife was initially concerned about the range of her ebike as we were riding 72 and 78 miles days, but that turned out to be a non-issue as she had 2 bars left on both days. Mandella, the owner, also arranged to have the bikes picked up at our hotel in Pittsburg. All this for a very reasonable cost. Thank you for the amazing experience!

If I was planning this trip again, I would ride Cumberland to Ohiopyle and back. The Pittsburg section is urban biking and is not pretty. Spend some time hiking and rafting in Ohiopyle. And, do not miss Fallingwater.
